چکیده
The tribological properties of matrix and skeletal titanium carbonitride composites were studied in dry friction conditions air. Experiments on wetting the TiCN–Cr3C2 composite by nickel–chromium alloys copper using sessile drop method performed to choose composition ascertain whether samples could be produced impregnation porous skeleton. experiments showed that nickel its formed a low contact angle (? ? 8°). In particular, Ni3Al intermetallic had ? < 5°, allowing it used as metal matrix. same situation was observed for copper. A technique developed producing TiN–Cr3C2 skeleton with melts, behavior cermets tested conditions. When starting impregnated intermetallic, coefficient decreased (? = 0.25). Structural studies conducted MIM-10 metallographic microscope X-ray diffraction DRON-2 diffractometer. hardness area thickness measured employing Falcon 9 tester (manufactured Netherlands). Thin cross sections made examine structure phase area. analyzed scanning electron microscopy. effect exerted counterface (steel 45, 40Kh, ShKh15) established. steel 60 HRC, increased distance. These results were, however, obtained at speeds loads. Friction losses loading increasing from 2 6 MPa 12 m/sec: reduced 0.23. TiCN–20% Cr3C2 may recommended antifriction materials use high-speed high-load units.

Wear Properties of Gabbro Based Glass and Glass-Ceramic Materials
Glass-ceramic materials were developed from gabbro including MgO and Al2O3 additives. Heat treatments for phase transformation from glassy matrix to glass-ceramic were carried out at 1000 ◦C for 3 h. X-ray di raction studies conducted on the glass-ceramic samples revealed that the phases formed in the glass-ceramics were cordierite, anorthite, diopsitic augite, forsterite and andesine. Glass an...
متن کاملFriction and Wear Testing Can Steer the Development of Ceramic Tribo Materials
The development of materials for tribological applications requires test methods for the determination of friction and wear behaviour of these materials. One of many different test methods useful for this task is the "oscillating sliding test", working with a ball-on-disk configuration. This test is applicable on rather small specimens and can provide preliminary information on friction and wea...
متن کاملFriction and wear of restorative dental materials.
Many different instruments have been developed for the measurement of friction and wear.1-5 Often the instrument was designed to accommodate some particular type of material, environment, or test condition. Studies reported in the dental literature have been limited to wear measurements with simulated toothbrushing methods,6-9 or on prosthetic teeth mounted on an articulator.10 This study will ...
متن کاملSelf-lubricating, low-friction, wear-resistant Al-based quasicrystalline coatings
After gas atomization, a quasicrystalline powder based on aluminium was used to prepare a thick coating by high-velocity oxygen-fuel flame torch spraying. This layer was deposited on top of a bond-coat layer on a steel plate. A post-spraying annealing treatment turned the two layers to their stable state, a γ-brass crystal and an icosahedral quasicrystal, respectively. The projection parameters...
متن کاملHydroxyapatite based ceramic materials
Hydroxyapatite is the major mineral component of human bones. From the point of view of its chemistry, it is calcium orthophosphate which has in its structure hydroxyl groups and in its stoichiometric is described with formula – Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2. Biological properties of hydroxyapatite are very favorable; it is not only biocompatible (which means that after implantation it causes no side effects...
